The chosen theme for this
collection was butterflies, however to make this project more interesting it
was focused on butterflies magnified rather than just mirrored butterfly
designs. The patterns and lines on butterfly wings are more intriguing and were
most inspiring to create prints. The variety of colours on butterflies also
influenced the decision of the chosen theme. Another reason for choosing
butterflies as an inspiration is that today, they are used in various objects
such as clothing, jewellery, art, furnishings and many others. A fondness of
butterflies and an interest in collecting these things them provided
the inspiration for this design work. Here are some photos of magnified
